I wonder if the wood prefers the paint? Or takes a breath once those layers have been stripped away. It must feel barren. Exposed! Left to the elements. Yes, it's natural. Yes, it's supposed to like that natural state of being. Yes, it can finally breathe fresh air again. But, is that natural state different for the wood who's never been cloaked in decadence? New coats of paint bring new life, right? How does that compare to the wood well-kept to maintain its natural hue?
